Jacques Folger
|
Jacques was an intern with us and was sponsored through Training and Technology Transfer (TTT) - an international development organisation that works mainly with the public sector in developing countries. TTT facilitates training, research, monitoring and other services in about 40 different countries. Jacques spent ten months in New Zealand in total. Five months was spent at Waiariki Polytechnic learning English. He spent 3 months with us at Te Urewera Treks learning the ropes of running a small trekking business, and he then spent a couple of months with the Department of Conservation in Opotiki, before returning to New Caledonia. Jacques is an extremely knowledgeable guide and we wish him every success in his new business venture. If you are thinking about holidaying in New Caledonia we would strongly recommend booking on a guided experience with him. We'll post contact details here once he has set up his business. |
Jacques Folger, from New Caledonia, worked with Te Urewera Treks during 2009. He is a trekking and hunting guide and wants to set up his own tourism business back in his tribal village.
