1 day guided walk through native Podocarp forest in the Whirinaki. Your local Maori guide will share stories of the area and history while pointing out medicinal plants and explaining how the Ancestors of the local tribe lived. Your senses will come alive with the sights and sounds of the Forest. Arohaki lagoon is surround by generations of Kahikatea trees. When the lagoon is full, it's a great place to soak in serenity and watch the wind ripple across the water from the wooden dock.
Transfers are from the D.O.C Office in Murupara on State Highway 38 or from Rotorua upon arrangement. 2 person min required to book (treks can be organised for only one person but a minimum 2-person rate will apply).
Operates three times per week on Monday's, Wednesday's & Friday's from October - April of following year.
